GENERAL CONDITIONS OF AN ONLINE SALE. The individual galleries may have different terms and conditions.
These conditions govern sales of paintings, frames, gift vouchers, and other items made exclusively on the website www.carredartistes.nl. They are accessible to the buyer on this site at the time of ordering and must be accepted before any purchase is made.

- PRICES AND PAINTINGS
Prices displayed on this site are indicated in Euro (€), including all applicable taxes but excluding delivery costs. Paintings ordered will be invoiced at the price in effect at the time that the order is placed.
For orders outside the Netherlands: you are the importer of the painting in question.
For paintings shipped outside the European Union, import duties and taxes may apply. These charges are not the responsibility of Carré d’artistes® Nederland and must be paid by you to the relevant authorities in your country.
Paintings shall remain the full property of Carré d’artistes® Nederland until full payment has been received.
- ORDERING AND TRANSACTION APPROVAL
By confirming your order, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these general conditions of sale in their entirety. Upon order confirmation and successful payment, you will receive an order acknowledgment via email. If your selected item is unavailable, your payment will be refunded. We reserve the right to cancel any order from a customer with whom payment for a previous order is in dispute.
- PAYMENT
Payment for your purchases must be made in Euro (€). The following payment methods are accepted:
• Bank card: Payment is made online at the time of order. Banking data is encrypted during the transaction (SSL technology).
• PayPal.
• Gift card issued by Carré d’artistes® Nederland.
- DELIVERY
Orders will be dispatched within two weeks of ordering. All works ordered together will be sent as a single shipment. Estimated transit time:
• Netherlands: 3-5 working days
• Other destinations: 5-10 working days (may vary depending on the destination country)
Delivery will be made to the address provided on the order form.
For Consumer Orders (B2C): The risk of damage or loss remains with Carré d’artistes® Nederland until you, or a third party appointed by you, physically receive the artwork. If there is damage or any issue upon delivery, please notify the carrier in writing on the delivery receipt and inform Carré d’artistes® Nederland via email within 72 hours. Please include a description and photos of the damage, along with a copy of your delivery note.
For Business Orders (B2B): The risk of damage or loss transfers to the buyer once the artwork is handed over to the carrier. If there is damage or any issue upon delivery, it is your responsibility to notify the carrier in writing on the delivery receipt. Additionally, you must inform Carré d’artistes® Nederland via email within 72 hours, including a description and photos of the damage, along with a copy of your delivery note.
In both cases, timely notification is essential for us to assist you in resolving the issue efficiently.
- RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL: RETURNS AND REFUNDS
If you are not satisfied with your order, you have 14 days from receipt to return the product in its original condition and packaging. You will be refunded the purchase price.
Returns should be sent to the address mentioned on the invoice. Refunds will be processed within 15 days of receipt of the returned artwork.
- CONSUMER GUARANTEE
If a painting presents a hidden defect, you must report it within 30 days of delivery. We will work with you to find an appropriate solution, such as repair or replacement. If no suitable option is available, a full refund will be provided by Carré d’artistes® Nederland. Please return the artwork in the original packaging.
- COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The artist retains full copyright over their work. The representation and reproduction rights of artworks on www.carredartistes.nl belong to the artists and to Carré d’artistes® SARL in France. Any reproduction or adaptation requires prior authorization.
All content on this site is protected by copyright, trademark laws, and other intellectual property rights. No reproduction or modification is allowed without permission from Carré d’artistes® Nederland.
- DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
To place an order, we require certain personal data, which will be processed in accordance with GDPR regulations. By confirming your order, you consent to this data processing.
You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal data by contacting us via email. For more details, please refer to our privacy policy.
- APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This agreement is governed by Dutch law. In case of disputes, both parties agree to attempt an out-of-court resolution before initiating legal proceedings.
